I remember Jason when he first started with Seaside PD. The first time I met him, I rode along with him to do a newspaper article on the active community policing which was published in the Seaside Signal a few weeks later. Through the years, I watched Jason's career unfold as he made Sergeant and was happy to harass him a few times over the phone as I continued working as a Police Chaplain for the county.

We remain deeply grieved and saddened that Jason lost his life, but I know that Jason will never be forgotten and his faithful service remains a solid testimony to his dedication to his family and serving the community he loved.
