Police Officer Paul Moen suffered a fatal heart attack shortly after he subdued a suspect in a domestic disturbance.
Officer Moen collapsed when he attempted to stop one of the men from attacking another officer.
Officer Moen had been with the Minneapolis Police Department for 25 years. He had received the Medal of Valor the previous year for an incident involving a shootout. He was survived by his son and mother.

View all 16 ReflectionsPaul is very dear friend of mine he helped me get through college I rented from him for 12 years and he never raised my rent more than $35 and that 12 years he was an amazing man and I loved him very much he was also very hard-working man he believed in his job every day I remember once when he told me I wish that boy hadn't made me have to shoot him he was so heartbroken over the fact that he had to fight his gun to protect other people he was a pretty amazing man and I'm so grateful for having been a part of his life and he apart of mine
