Reflections for Detective Sergeant Gene Tilford Nash
Gene Nash was my father's friend and partner. I was born in 1960 and named after Gene, I meet Gene's Mom and remember my dad giving her back Gene's handcuffs. I thought about Gene for years and was unclear how he passed away, thank you for this website. I would like to give my regards to his Daughter. Gene Nash passed away 65 years ago and is not forgotten. Thank you to all those who protect us and our country every day.

Det. Sgt. Nash - Yours is a story of true courage in the face of danger. I hope that if I'm ever tested, like that, I'll perform as you would expect me to. Thanks for your service and for your example. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 51rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Your sacrifice was made so many years ago. Evil was, is, and will be a part of life just as goodness such as yours will also be present.
Rest In Peace
