Reflections for Patrolman Arthur D. Mutter
Thanks be to God for brave CPD officers like my Grandfather-in-law Arthur D. Mutter who gave his life to protect the citizens of Chicago by fearlessly attempting to diffuse a robbery-in- progress when off-duty.

This was my Great Grandfather. That day in 1933 had a ripple effect down through the ages on my family as all families feel when one of theirs gets taken. Grandpa grew up without a Dad and Dad grew up without a Grandpa.
God bless those that choose a life of service and sacrifice and thanks to this site for remembering the ones who gave all.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 79th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.
