October 9th is the day we will never forget
It brings back that day we will always regret
Our hearts STILL are filled with sorrow
Our secret tears still fall
When I get to Heaven, you will one of the first I will be OVERJOYED to see
Until we meet again,
Always Your Loving Sister,
Carol

Thinking of my dad a lot lately... He was just added to the NYS Fallen Firefighter's Memorial in Albany... so proud of him. He was also added to the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial in Washington, DC. One quote on that memorial stuck in my mind...
"It Is Not How These Officer's Died That Made Them Heroes, It Is How They Lived"

I said a little prayer today for Ranger Murray and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO!

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 43rd anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.
My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
