Detective Willliam Mooney: Your bravery has not been forgotten. Your supreme sacrifice is remembered and honored although it has been 97 years since you gave your life to protect your community. How sad that you had earlier fought to recover from a serious injury in the line of duty only to lose your life a few years later.
I send this reflection not only in your honor but the honor of Michael Gordon eow 8/8/04 of your department who too lost his life protecting the citizens of Chicago. Rest In Peace. Phyllis Loya, mother of Larry Lasater, PPD eow 4/24/05
