Dear Ricardito:

It was not until today that I found out about this Officer Down Memorial Page, whose purpose is to remember those who died in the front of duty, thanks to Hasany your nephew.

We are always talking about your love and joy for life. Your mother Socorro, Abuela Geña, Abuelo Goyo, Tia Goyin, Tia Sylvia, Tio Junior, Tia Gin, are all also gone and sleeping as well as you. They are all waiting for the sound of the voice of Jesus to wake them up. Twenty four years have passed since your departure, but have been 24 years that your name was imprinted in our minds and the hearts of those who loved you very dearly.

Yesterday was the second birthday of Valentina, your first grand child and your second grandchild is already a year old. Both are the daughters of Ricardito, your son. They are beautiful and your son is a great father, as well as his wife is a wonderful mother.

We missed you very much, but we love you with all our hearts. I am looking forward to seeing you in Jesus next return. God bless you.

Hey Ricky. Just to let you know I miss you dearly brother. Even though we were step brother, tu mai Socorro was like a mother to me when she was with papi and even after they split. I still remember the days before you were taking from us. We spent lot's of hours together, you invited me to meet your wife en el Coqui and you visited me in Juana Matos almost every day. I love you brother, y love Gloria and all the family. Since I got saved in 1995, I will expect to see you when Jesus comes for us. In the mean time, rest brother. You will always be loved and missed. Wanda, my wife say hello (yes we been together all this time since 1985).

My dear brother, it is an honor to be the first to write you a message. How the years have passed and I can not believe you are not here.

The amount of times we laughed, giggled and fought. I wish we could turn back the hand of time. You would be living in ny with us and spoiling your nieces and nephews. You were always a person who was willing to do anything for your family, no questions asked nor anything expected in return. Nani is living with me now. You would be so proud of her, she is a reflection of you. A heart of gold just like her dad's. She is a good person. Remember when we picked you up at the airport and dad thought, who the hell is that with my daughters. You know we still talk about it and laugh. Remember when Irene, Tita, you and me went crazy taking pictures at one time. We had so much fun, posing and then running to develop them. We were crazy.

Our time together was soooo short!!!!! I regret not speaking to you often on the phone, but u know me I am not a phone person. Hey Ritchie remember when you were driving dads green mercedes and you thought you were a hot number. The car was all crashed up in the back but that did not stop you from feeling like a papi chulo. We were so silly during those times.

Thank you for always treating us as your sisters and not half sisters. You always welcomed us with open arms. You know Ritche when I was a kid, I had always prayed to someday meet big my brother, to know what it felt like having a brother. I thank God for the opportunity and I never regret any of the moments we shared together. Denise, tita, you and I had an incredible bond and yet we never grew up together.

Thank you for all your kindness and love, which will always live in my heart. I love you and miss you!!!!! I wish the kids would have gotten to know you!!!!
