YOU ARE REMEMBERED TODAY AND THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR SERVICE

I believe that a distant relative was responsible for Officer Minton's death. The irony of this is that I am a Detroit Police Officer and patrol the same streets that Officer Minton had. (Twelfth Prct - now Western District) My family roots derive from the "east side" Bastianelli Family. My relative involved was a "west side" Bastianelli, the two families had no contact with each other due to a dispute between the great-great-great Grandfathers. My relative was a member of the italian mofia and spent many years in Ionia Penitentiary for the murder and was released early due to having terminal cancer. I am still investigating the history behind Officer Minton's death but I strongly believe that it was my relative who indeed was responsible. I would like to send my deepest condolences to the family of Officer Douglas Minton and honor my brother Detroit Police Officer with prayer the next time I visit the Law enforcement officers memorial in Washington DC. I hope my prayers will comfort you and also to know that Officer Minton's sacrifice is not forgotten. He is still honored by my family as we have three active police officers. Any surviving family members of Officer Minton please feel free to contact me anytime at the email I have provided. BLESSED BY THE PEACEKEPERS.
