Your heroism and service is honored today, the 65th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I am glad that an apprehension was made so many yeas later, but sorry that the defendant didn't seve that much time for his role in your death.

Rest In Peace

It took a long time but I was glad to see your killer brought to justice. It shows how one of the simplest police assignments can turn deadly. You shall not be forgotten.

You are remembered today and thank you Sir for your service, This writer is pleased that your story lives on with a television show honoring you, however, this writer also feels that justice was not served on your behalf.

Rest in peace Sir.

Officer Milledge,
About two weeks ago I was watching a show about police officers being killed in the line of duty. Your story was one that aired. It spoke of you being one of Miami's first black police officers. How proud that made me. You are a true hero, not only to Miami, but to the rest of the world. You are gone but never forgotten. May God continue to give you rest. God Bless!!
