Rest in peace.

Dawn, it has been almost 6 years since your passing. I will still remember getting ready to walk out of my door to go to work when I recieved the terrible call that you were no longer with us.
I remember in the academy during a crime scene excercise, you said, "I'd ride with you anytime." Believe me, Dawn, when ever I put on my vest, badge, gun and get in to my patrol car, you are riding with me.

I never had the pleasure of knowing you, but that is not a henderence in the grief that I feel as a result of your passing. I happened upon your memorial while looking at the ODMP and I had to leave you this message to let you know that others are saddened by this tragedy. God Bless you Officer Erickson. And may God grant your family and friends the unwavering strength and endurance to survive this loss. Amen.
