Your heroism and service is honored today as we approach the 55th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer, 51 years after you were killed.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

You gave the ultimate sacrifice. For that you are a hero. My brother beared the same patch and the same badge as you. I too am a cop, and since so, have felt the pain of being at the funerals of two brothers. I hope to God that I never have to be at another one. I never knew you, just the same as I did not know those two cops, but the simple fact that you were a cop, means you were family to me. Heros are not forgotton, they live on forever.

I am not sure that a day went by that I did not look at the Mayor's annual proclamation in honor of your death. I am happy that the current patch is displayed for you! Your service and sacrifice deserves respect. I had tears when I saw your name on the National Police Officer Memorial. Rest easy brother.
