Patrolman McShane,
On today, the 100th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe fighting the Germans during World War I as a member of the 89th Division-“the Rolling W.”

No matter how much time passes you will never ever be forgotten. Thank you for your proven dedication and commitment to our nation. You are a true American hero Patrolman McShane. I will be thinking of you when I attend St. Brigid Parish in South Boston for my regular 10:30AM Mass. I have lived in Boston for three calendar years now and I always pray for the protection and safety of those Officers that are on in the town and worldwide. God Bless you Daniel and thank you for all that you did. A candle tonight has been lit in honor of you!

By mistake I came upon this site and your picture. I saw you. Showed this picture to a friend and he exclaimed,
"That's you!" You died young, but I'm sure you died with the courage and heart to do what is right. We so often view our current generation as run-amoc, but I guess that one night you stepped into a similar vortex of the future world. "The song, "Danny Boy" Came to mind later that day, was that you?"

Patrolman McShane, today marks the 85th anniversary of your murder. Landlord/Tenant disputes can be routine or deadly. It’s sad that you were the victim of the latter in this case. I’m sure justice prevailed in the case of your killer.
Thank you for your efforts. May God Bless you and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

No officer should be without a reflection. I send this one to thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice and for paving the way for the future for us to follow, on the thin blue line. Thank you.
