Hey I just saw this today Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017. I am very sad for you and your family. Be proud of him. I was on the PAPD and started in 1973. Never knew this story. God bless him, you, and your family. He was a Hero.

My Uncle Donnie was officer Hitler M McLeod. I am so very saddened that I never got a chance to know him as he was killed when I was less than a year old. He was my mother's only brother! I am very pleased and thankful that this web page was created to honor my uncle. I plan to share this information with my children so their great-uncle will never be forgotten!

I just wanted you to know that my father knew your father quite well. I remember him talking about your dad and the incident that happened to your father. Our fathers were among the first black officers on the force. My dad passed in 2006. He was soooo proud to have been apart of the PAPD.

I am sure your father would be proud to know that you are following his example. I hope your fathers memories continued to be known, and you grow many of your own. God bless you and your family, and I thank you and your family for your sacrifice.
