Reflections for Patrolman Forbes A. McLeod

Dear Great Uncle Forbes McCloud, many times my mother Virginia McCloud told us of your heroism. My mother told me about the bank robbery and the location of the train. She told us that you were gunned down by a Tommy Gun. How sad that 90 years later people are still dying of automatic weapons. You are a hero to us. Rest in peace

On today, the 90th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army as a member of the 26th “ Yankee” Division in Europe fighting the Germans during World War I.

Patrolman McLeod, it has been 90 years since you were taken from us. New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your military and 9 years of law enforcement service.

Patrolman McLeod,
On today, the 74th anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you to you and your fellow officer for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Needham. I used to live in Massachusetts and just like one of the previous reflections said, I'm glad that at one time, the state of Massachusetts knew what to do with copkillers.
