Policeman McKinnon - Three Fridays ago, on a very rainy morning, I stood in the State Assembly chambers when your name was one of almost 250 read off during a motion regarding next month's Peace Officers Memorial Week. You are not forgotten.
Thank you for your service to the people of the City of Denver and the State of Colorado.
May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.

Your heroism and service is honored today as we approach the 90th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.
My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. He was shot twice when ambushed on April 23rd when he was on a foot pursuit of two bank robbers, 86 years after you were killed.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

mother of fallen officer Larry Lasater
