Reflections for Sheriff John McInnis
It has been 113 years since you got in that boat in Port Townsend Bay, looking for people who feel the need to break the law. The water must have been freezing cold, that is an awful way to die. I hope you can rest with the knowledge that you are still remembered all these years later. You made the ultimate sacrifice and we will never forget Sheriff McInnis.

We pause today to reflect on the loss of Sheriff McInnis in the performance of his duties. How sad that his family never received closure.
