To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 83rd anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

For his 4H project, my son chose your department (one from each state), asking for a patch, for his collection. An officer from your department, Kevin Tindle, of the Training Divsion, took the time to write my son a letter, and send it, along with his card, and a patch from your department. I am grateful for this. There are fine men and women carrying on your calling, at your department. I'm sure you were a fine man, and I wish your family the best. Thank you for your sacrfice.
Rest, brother.
