A book has been written that describes the events that led to the death of this brave officer. It is called Nine Minutes, Twenty Seconds, written by Gary Pomerantz.
I salute the bravery of this officer who enroute to pick up an offender died while helping others escape the inferno of the crashed plane. He gave his life so that others could live. Greater love hath no man.

What a heroic man! His family should be proud to have been loved by such a wonderful person! While reading this story, I was very impressed by this officer's integrity, sense of loyalty, and obvious love for the law and society he was sworn to protect. Thank you sir, your honor and integrity are unmatched. Your family will be in my prayers, and I know that you'll be watching over them from heaven. May their pain in losing you be lessened by the fact that you will be with them always in their hearts, and that the good Lord took one of the best when he chose you to patrol his streets.
