Though many years have passed since the truly unfortunate circumstance of death in the line of duty, many will remember and revere your sacrifice. Others have, and will, join you later and we will celebrate as only members of our chosen field can. May you rest in peace and know you were a member and part of the Best.

I was 9 months old when you passed. Today marks the 64th year since you left us. I am a USMC veteran from the Viet Nam War and later became a CHP officer. I rode motorcycles as well and know how much you loved to ride. Your service will not be forgotten both in the US Navy as well as the Blue and Gold....Semper Fi from a Marine and fellow California Highway Patrol veteran....God Bless...

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 64th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.
