Officer Evans. I remember the night you were so violently run down. I was on the way home with my parents from red, white, and boom and we sat in traffic for hours it seemed like. I wish I could have met you but I will someday and untill then I just want to say THANK YOU!! for you sacrifice you made to stop a drunk driver. God Bless you and you will never be forgotten.

Officer Evans,
I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Columbus. It sickens me and boggles my mind that that the drunk driver who killed could only have served six months.

Keith,
It doesn't seem like it has been ten years since you left us. Your tragic death has made us all stronger. I only wish that we could have more time together. We all miss and respect you.
Thank you for being my brother.

Uncle Keith,
We miss you and think of you every day. You were taken away from us so tragically. It is because of you Uncle Keith, my dad, retired Columbus Police Officer James Fornash and Grandpa, retired Columbus Police Officer Harry Evans (whose badge you wore with such pride from the day he retired till the day you died) that I have become a Fort Worth Police Dispatcher. Coming from a family of officers I always knew that somehow I would end up in the police field. Even thought Dispatcher can be a hard job it can be very rewarding. I don't want other families to go thru what our family has so because of what happened to you I strive to make sure that my officers on my watch get to go home to their loved ones at the end of the night. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't sit down and plug in and think about how hard it was for your dispatcher that night. How hard it must of been for them. Uncle Keith thank you for all the times that you were there for me, when I had my wreck near your house, and all the other times. Thanks for being there for helping Tim and mom. And thank you for being the wonderful person and officer that you were. We love and miss you dearly.
Your neice

To my uncle. uncle Keith watching you my dad, and grandpa whom all worked in Columbus have made me the cop i am today. Iam a thrid generation police officer. Every day I work I think of you I still wear the badge around my neck we all had made when you left us. I work for the respect you recevied as an officer. I miss going with kevin and meeting you for subs on the north side. Mom and Deb still have the ribbons and picture hanging from the mirrors on their car. You are not forgotten and you still make an impact on this earth through your teachings and kindness. we love and miss you.

Because of you I'm a police officer today. Growing up across from you at my Grandma's house and playing with your son Kevin. Seeing you in uniform and your police car and seeing the family man you were inspired me. Thank you / You are not forgotten

Keith,
You were my idol, my friend, and my soul mate. I see your son has left you a reflection, I would have to agree with him. I miss you so much too! You were my reason for going into police work to begin with. You were such an incredibly hard worker, never losing any enthusiasm for the work! I was always impressed by your dedication and interest in the profession. I had always hoped that a man of your commitment and quality would have the opportunity to enjoy that retirement that you worked so hard for and deserved to enjoy.
I will see you in heaven again someday, and we will be able to look back on all of the good times we've had together. I will always love you Keith.........

As my children and I went downtown for the fireworks display this year, we remembered the tragedy that ended your life at that same event nine years ago. We prayed for you and want your family to know that you are never forgotten. God bless you and your family.

I urge the citizens of Columbus Ohio to rectify the miscarriage of justice that a 6-month sentence for this MAJOR CRIME so blatantly is.

My condolences to the entire Evans family and the Columbus Division of Police.
6 months for the violent death of a Police Officer? Who was the idiot who made that decision? I have family that live in Columbus and I so appreciate the protection that the Columbus Police Department provides to their neighborhood. God bless you all.
