To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 59th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your grandson for sharing memories and devotion to you through his reflection.

Grandpa.. You are out of sight for now, but you are never out of our thoughts, prayers or hearts. Grandpa, even after 57 years, it still hurts so much. Wish I had you around while growing up, school, sports, serivce in the USAF, marriage, kids, your two great grandsons. Somehow, I think I always felt your protective hand on my shoulder keeping me safe and always having me do the right thing and I thank you for that. You were such a gentle soul. For years after your passing people on your beat commented how they never saw you in anger and your fairness in dealing with people. You gave me a good lessen to follow. Until we meet again grandpa, I just want to say that I love you very much! I pray for you everyday along for your fellow fallen Officer Duggan and his family. God Bless the two of you and to both our families.
