I never knew my Grandfather. My name is John Mancusi. I’m sitting with my nephew John Mancusi. We were talking about my father his youngest son also John Mancusi. We are proud to call him part of our family legacy. We don’t know a lot about about my father’s family but he was married to a woman named Marry and they had 3 children from the second marriage named John, Bill, and Midge. If there is anyone out there who can shed more light on our family please email [email protected]

I was aware that William was killed while serving but had never looked for information about him. I'm proud to have a family member who served and made the ultimate sacrifice.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 79th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
