On today, the 88th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe as a member of the 26th “Yankee” Division fighting the Germans during World War I. I just ran the Run To Remember in the city we dearly love, the city that you served. The people are forever thankful for your service. It is heroes like you that the Run to Remember is all about. I plan to do the Run to Remember every single year to honor heroes like you. We are blessed to have an incredible police force in the city of Boston and that is one the many reasons that makes Boston such a special city, because of heroes like Officer James T. Malloy. You are always remembered.

Patrolman Malloy is my Great Uncle. I am currently a Police Officer on the Boston Police Department. It's crazy on my 7th year on the job I was hit by a car driven by the suspect I was chasing. I fully believe that my Great Uncle was there and protected me that night

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Ptl. Malloy, the driver who caused your death acted in a despicable manner. To drag a human being that far is unforgivable and ignorance of the incident could never be claimed. Though the circumstance of why the person hit you are not listed, even if were a complete accident, the distance indicates possibly more. I hope that person found true justice if not in this life, then in the next.

Though it's been many years, your descendants no doubt honor your memory, as we did here.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
