Out of the blue for the first time after so many years, I thought about looking you up, just to see what I could find about you. I was 9 years old at the time and I am 26 years old now, so its been a long time. Though I don't remember you personally, I remember that day. At that time my Mom name was Kim Reddick and at the time she was best friend's and still remains best friend's with your wife Crystal McCloud. I know your wife and children very well, she's my Aunt Crystal. You have two beautiful daughters, and congratulations you are a Grandfather. A lot has changed since that day and I must say we've all had our ups and downs, but we remain strong in this journey called life. Today is a great day, for me and my crew Commissioned my Ship, the USS Arlington. Like the victims and first responders during that incident, I remember you, thank you, and appreciate you for serving your country, state, county, and most importantly your family. You will never be forgotten and you are loved everyday by all who have known you or heard about you, especially you. Rest in peace to you my brother. Rest peacefully.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 16th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.
