Reflections for Trooper Thomas C. Lynes

Although I am approaching 68 years old, I still often think of the grandfather I never met. I also think of my dad who grew up without his father and what a difficult situation his family endured. We are a service oriented family. We are extremely proud that a Deputy Sheriff, Firefighter, Nurse, Teacher and my military service have and continue to serve our country and community well.
Our prayers are always with you Grandpa and Dad.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 77th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Trooper Lynes, my grandfather is now reunited with his son - Thomas C. Lynes, my father. Trooper Lynes son passed on March 19, 2011. They are now together at last and in a better place. I think of my grandfather, dad and my mom daily. I know they are watching over me as well.

I said a little prayer today for Trooper Lynes and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.
