Reflections for Border Patrol Inspector Richard A. Lugo
Today is the anniversary of your death. I'm so honored to have met your wife and son, who followed in your footsteps and I know has made you proud.
You are not forgotten, but are remembered as the true hero that you are!
Rest in peace, my brother.

It is an Honor to see my Uncle's name and service remembered. I never got to meet him, and only know of him through stories. He was a man of impeccable character, Honor a patriotism. I was blessed to have been given his name as my middle name. Love you Tio! You would be very proud indeed of the legacy you left behind.

I had the extreme honor of meeting your widow and your son many years ago. We were at the spot where you died, and it left a profound impression on me. You died saving your fellow officer, and you are a true hero. You would be very proud of your wife and son. They are very strong people. Rest in Peace. You are not forgotten!

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
God Bless

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 45th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.
