Reflections for Patrolman Robert Lee Louviere

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 45th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace.

Grandpa, you died when my father was only 5 years old, so I never got the chance to meet you. I have heard many stories about you, though and I must say I love this man that I have never met. Thank you for giving me my father and I appreciate you more than words can explain. I wish I would have gotten the chance to meet you. Your picture and badge hang in our foyer and MawMaw has now gone to meet you where you are. Take care of her. I love and miss her dearly already, but I know she dances with you and
Jesus now.

I am Officer Robert's youngest daughter. I have an older brother. We truly miss and love him. He now has 5 grandchildren and 3 beautiful great-grandchildren. Words are hard to say about the great support that was given at the time of his death and is still given. Thank you to all who keep my fathers memory alive. Gwen Louviere Barnes

Uncle Robert passed 3 1/2 years before I was born, but I would like to thank him for his service to law enforcement and for the two children he fathered, that I have called my cousins and "friend" for many years. My aunt loved him for many years, even after his death.
