While your assailants may have never been caught to face justice here one earth, they surely faced a higher authority and justice at a later time in a different place. Thank you for your service and please know that your sacrifice will always be remembered. Rest in peace always

I work for Tampa Police and recently got issued vehicle #397. It has Ofc Lopez's name and end of watch date on it . Just wanted to let Ofc Lopez's family know that we haven't forgotten him and I'm proud to have his name on my car.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the sixty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
