On today, the 75th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Joplin. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

This was my great grandfather, my grandmother Ellen was his daughter. My mother would have been only 4 when he died so unfortunately I didn’t hear too much about him. I’m very proud of his service to protect the Joplin community as I live close by in Carl Junction; MO.

Chief Lloyd is not forgotten. I am a peace officer. I am married to Chief Lloyd's granddaughter -- and am the father of his great-granddaughter.

Those who have recently lost someone can rest assured that their loved one will be remembered across the generations.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
