My mother who never knew her father, was named after him, Lois Maitland Levine Munro. She died Nov. 2012, I do hope she is reunited with him now. Thanks for everyone's kind comments and memories, I would love to talk sometime with anyone who knew him or my grandmother Jeanne.

Louis is my great grand father. My father was named after him. My grandma was a small child when he was killed. She talked so good of her father. His death caused great pain for her. She had to leave school at a young age to help her mother. Rip Great Grandpa!

I remember when Officer Levine was killed. We were neighbors. I was just six years old, but my father, Aaron F. Post was also a Detroit Policeman and I remember how concerned my mother was for my dad. Rest in peace, Officer Levine.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 76th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

the Levine family were friends of ours. My father, Aaron F. Post was also a Detroit policeman in the 13th precinct and even though I was only seven I remember how much my family missed officer Levine.

I never knew him, nor did my mother who was not yet born when her father was killed. We have not forgotten. My grandmother wore black for the rest of her life and refused to remarry. If anyone knew him, I would love to hear from you.
