Officer Lemoine does have his own memorial; in the department's lobby is a painting done in his honor. He's shown riding his police motorcycle and it was while riding his motorcycle that he made the ultimate sacrifice. Also, at the present time his memory is prominently on display at the Woonsocket Historical Society as part of the Police Relief's 100th Anniversary Display. RIP, brother.

I am a life long resident of Woonsocket, its a shame that the police department doesn't know who albert was. non of these rookies or veteran officers even know the history of their department. I am a college student and was looking into honoring a hero from my own city but Woonsocket police were of no help. albert yes past away a very long time ago and is the only LOD in our departments history I think he should have something. a memorial would be nice. thank you for the sacrifice you made on that faithful day. if it weren't for you the city members may have died that day. thanks again and when I one day where the badge I will carry your memory with me.

Thank you all for the kind words. If my grandmother's character was any reflection on the man she married, then Albert Lemoine was indeed a good man and left in his wake many a good persons (myself included).

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 76th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Officer Lemoine, on this 69th anniversary of your death, I pray you are resting comfortably in Heaven. I believe those who were responsible for the accident that took your life-faced justice at some point, if not here on Earth, then in the afterlife.
God Bless you, Brother.
