I am sure you are both back together in paradise.

A remarkable story of fortitude and bravery, both from Deputy Leinberger AND his wife. I am sure that Walter John Leinberger was revered by his family, and that story was told many times. Rest in peace, sir.

What an amazing and tragic story. Your poor wife. To have witnessed your murder and to have had to fire at the suspect (from what I have read, the first time she ever fired a gun), and to have struck him twice. I'm glad your fellow officer finished him off so that she did not have to go through the extra trauma of living through his trial. RIP sir and thank you for your service.
