Reflections for Police Officer Alvin Clayton Palmer
On the anniversary of your death, I salute you for your service and honor you for your sacrifice.
April 12, 2005
To my friend Alvin, I remember you were a excellent soldier and a better person. The other day, I was looking through some old photos and had to take a deep breath, when I realized how long it's been and how much you are still loved and missed. It seems like yesterday when we sat at the unit and talked while you assembled your new vest. Jen also sends her love. No doubt you are in a better place bro until we meet again my friend

I visited your grave the other day,
On April 12th; 8 years since you were taken away.
I was sad to see your grave was bare,
What no one even had a flower to spare?
These days everyone seems so busy and on the go,
But I promise to never forget this hero.
Thank you Alvin. You are a true hero.
we will never forget Alvin's sacrifice and that of his family to keep his community safe for its citizens. he has a new, eternal mission and we think he is doing a good job now too.

For Alvin Palmer, the 6'7" gentle giant of the Narcotics Unit. He worked the mean streets of philly that others feared, and was one of the bravest of them all. He worked Narcotics in the housing projects, (need we say more), and
was liked by all who worked with him including this officer.
As my often part time partner, (when ours were off) we had fun and enjoyed the conversation of each other. My reg. partner Ron Smith is tough 5'8". When I worked with Alvin and his 6'7" stepped out of the car, well, the bad guys always thought twice about taking him on.
A good guy lost too soon. Your pal,
Officer James Buclary, PHAPD
