Hard to believe it's been 28 years. I remember when it happened. I can still see all the flashing police lights. You should be enjoying your well deserved retirement. You and your family missed out on so much.

Thank you for your service. You will never be forgotten.

I worked for SRPD from 1980 - 1997. Many times over the years I had the pleasure to meet and converse with Deputy Frank Trejo many times. Our meetings and conversations were not always work related. We small talked and shared a bit of our journeys.

I always liked Frank. I thought he was one of the nicest gentlemen in tan & green, I had the pleasure of meeting. I went to the scene the next morning. Before I arrived, his body had been removed. Still to this day, Nov 18, 2021, 26+ yrs later. While driving to Sebastopol or to the Sonoma coast, as I approach the scene, I think about Frank and glance over. If I am driving west on Hwy 12 and just happen to catch a red signal at Llano Road. Looking toward the scene, my time for remembrance takes a little longer.

RIP Frank

I just saw the movie and it is so sad that you lost your life due to racism. Your smile on your picture shows someone who was a kind man. May you continue to rest in peace.

I just recently retired from Miami PD and as I reflect on your tragic death it saddens me that you were not allowed to experience retirement yourself and share it with your family. I pray that you're resting in peace and walking around Heaven enjoying the blessings of being in the ultimate of retirements singing in Gods choir.

Can you please add the name up top and location of the freeway in I think it is 5 or 101 that is dedicated to him. I’ve seen it for years and always was intrigued. I’m sorry to hear of this tragedy I thought he just had a car accident now I understand.

I only have viewed the movie, where we learned of this tragedy. I have the deepest of regret for any suffering. Danny Glover is a very talented person, bringing the points of humanity through his acting. Thank you for the film. Definitely, this event and loss of a valuable life, are not in vain. Perhaps reflection of our humanity, our courage, our honour all shine. I thank the Lord for the life of Officer Frank V. Trejo. He gave his everything while performing his duty.

This remarkable film showcased how racism is a disease each of us must not choose to spread. As a people, we must truly realize that there is good and bad people in every race. In addition, the movie carefully displayed that being a nigger is based on a individual's day to day actions and it is not defined by a skin color. I was truly blessed and inspired to love others more, despite their wickedness and take the time to understand that some individuals wickedness stems from hurt deeply rooted within and that they are just looking for an object to vent their pain. Frank Trejos death was truly not in vain as he was a sacrificial lamb to expose the non-sense of hate while uncovering why we are to love each other more despite a person's skin color.

This movie left me speechless. It just proves hatred toward people for the color of our skin is the highest form of ignorance. To hate a person for there color should better themselves to survive in this world. A person who hates in this matter is not happy and wants to cause harm to the innocent. This group can't judge or make decisions only the almighty God can. He will get you when the time is right, so don't fear people of color it's God you should fear.

My son is an African American Deputy Sheriff. People of color did not cause issues to Aryn Brotherhood blame the parents and/or there choices. Only an idiot forfiets there freedom for hatred.

I ask the Lord to watch over Deputy Trejo family and touch them with his goodness.

I just watched the Supremacy movie and decided to give you my condolences! I am an officer at Central Prison in North Carolina so I empathize with any man or woman that serves in law enforcement! It is Sept in 2016 and the tension between law enforcement and minorities are very bad. Watching this movie blessed me and made me want to love more and try to understand and help racists and bigots rather than be mad that they feel that way towards blacks! Through your death and the powerful script in the movie honoring you I am compelled to write a rap song in memory of you and I live in North Carolina but someday I will fly out to where you were shot at and say a prayer to GOD and possibly shoot some video footage of my song there! I just want to do my part in adding healing to this painful world...

My heart and prayers are with the family of Officer Trejo. I watched the movie based on his death, and am trying to understand why. These questions seems to never have an answer, but we go on, so to the family I would like to say; the pain and healing will be a tremendous struggle each and every day, but draw your strength from where you believe to be your guide, and try to live in the love that he gave to you in the brief time you had together. Love and peace to all of you.
