I listen to old radio shows, and today heard the 11th Dragnet show from 1949. It was dedicated to Warden Larkin.

The tribute can be heard at the end of the tenth recording named '16 Jewel Thieves'.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 72nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Warden Larkin,
On today, the 70th anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the State of California. It took another year, but your murderers finally got the justice that they deserved.
