Rest in peace Officer LaFleur. I hope your killer was brought or gets their justice served upon them for taking a wonderfully heroic soul.

While your killer may have never been apprehended he surely faced a much higher justice at a later time and in a different place. Thank you for your service, both military and police, and please know that your sacrifice is one that will never be forgotten by your law enforcement brethren. Rest in peace always.

Rest in peace Officer LaFleur. Sixty-seven years later and no sight of your killer, just terrible what happened to a bravery and honest young man.

Today 4/27/12 we participated in "Project Hero". Project Hero is a new program. we as active and retired Officers go out to the grave sites of our fallen brothers and sisters (our Heroes) and fly an American flag and a Thin Blue line flag next to their graves for the entire month of May. We also take time to salute these Heroes in their final place of rest. Thank you Officer Leroy Joseph LaFleur, Sr. for giving the ultimate sacrafice

God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain; but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.

Rest in peace!
