To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 45th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I will never forget the night my father received a phone call in the middle of the night saying my grandfather had been killed. I also know that others have not forgotten you either. To this day, I still meet complete strangers who knew you and tell me what a great man and police officer you were.I can still remember the times I would ocassionally ride with you and the times you took me fishing. I am proud that you were my grandfather and I miss you very much. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

IT HAS BEEN THIRTY FIVE YEARS SINCE YOU WERE TAKEN FROM THE PEOPLE OF COLUMBUS. YOU HAD SUCH A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE PEOPLE WHO RESIDE HERE, PARTICULARLY THE KIDS AND TEENAGERS WHO WERE PRIVELEDGED TO KNOW YOU AND EXPERIENCE YOUR FAIRNESS AND GENUINE CARING. WE SPEAK FONDLY OF YOU, AND OFTEN SAY "I WISH ARNOLD WERE HERE, THINGS WOULD BE DIFFERENT". A MAN OF YOUR STATURE IS SURELY NEEDED NOW! GOD BLESS YOU, AND THANK YOU FROM THE CITIZENS OF COLUMBUS AND ALL THAT KNEW YOU.
