Lt. Kisro,
On today, the 55th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of Illinois. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. There is no tougher job in Law Enforcement than that of a Corrections Officer.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 46th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

It was a sad day, 43 years ago, when we lost three of our bravest to a senseless riot. Thank you for your dedicated service, Lieutenant Kisro, you are not forgotten. Rest in peace, sir, we have the watch now.

The Correctional Officers’ Prayer

Lord, I ask for courage...
Courage to face my own fears.
Courage to take me where others will not go.

I ask for strength...
Strength of the body to protect others.
Strength of spirit to lead others.

I ask for dedication...
Dedication to my job to do it well.
Dedication to my community to keep it safe.

Give me, Lord, concern...
For all those who trust me and
Compassion for all those who need me.

And, please, Lord...
Through it all,
Be at my side.

You are remembered today and thank you Sir for your service, this writer never understands the purpose of a very long sentance that is never carried out, especially when a law officer is involved.
