Your heroism and service is honored today, the 67th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

If your death had happened today, the advancement in forensics may have resulted in a different outcome, an outcome that would have given your family some sense of justice.

I met you (the son) at Snappy Lunch in Mt Airy a few years ago and we spoke shortly about your father and this story. I've though of u often. May he rest in peace..And may you live in peace

My father George Arnold Kemp carried himself with care and concern, confidence, dignity, respect and love.

My grandfather, Farley Kemp, was George's brother. I found some newspaper clippings in my mother's things when she passed on. Very few and it was never talked about. Any information I can get on this matter will be appreciated. I am haunted by this.

I can only tell you that his death had a profound affect on the life of his sons and wife. I can't help but believe that someone in Thomasville or the surrounding area knows/knew the details surrounding Officer Kemp's murder. They have had to live with it and they will have to answer for it.

I wish that his family could know the truth about his death. Many may have known but cannot answer their questions now. I grew up hearing about him and I feel that he truly was trying to be a very upstanding officer. My mom and uncles knew his children and went to school with them at the time of his death. May they find peace and understanding. Thank you to whoever finally listed him as killed on duty.
