Tommy Kelly was my great grandmother's uncle. She moved over to San Francisco from Ireland at the age of 15 to stay with her uncle Tommy. Unfortunately Tommy was shot and she was not able to stay in the US any more as she did not have a guardian. She returned to Ireland and married my great grandad. It's unusual because a tragic murder like this resulted in my grandmother being born in Ireland and raising her family there. It's hard to believe that if this murder never happened, then I would not be around today.

Rest in peace to Thomas Kelly, and all those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 89th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
