Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Willie Bazel Jones
Willie was my great-grandfather. I never met him but I've visited the law officers memorial wall and found his name and told his story to my son. The trauma of his death had an enormous impact on my grandma Murline, his daughter. I'm so sorry I never got to meet him.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 66th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
