Reflections for Patrolman Waverly M. Jones
Chandra I pray that in the coming days God will grant your family peace. As a future officer I also pray that your fathers killer never again may see the light of day for taking two lives over nothing as well may your father rest in peace knowing that the watch is in good hands now and those on it will never forget.

I strongly urge you not to grant parole to anyone who decides to kill a police officer. That officer died in the performance of his duties, protecting the lives of his community and the rights of law abiding citizens of this country. He made the ultimate decision to protect those who entrust the laws of this nation. No cop killer should ever be considered for parole.

As a retired Houston Police Sergeant, I strongly urge you not to grant parole to anyone who decides to kill a police officer. That officer died in the performance of his duties, protecting the lives of his community and the rights of law abiding citizens of this country. He made the ultimate decision to protect those who entrust the laws of this nation. No cop killer should ever be considered for parole.

There is no reason to parole anyone who kills a Police Officer! That Officer has Sacrificed His Life in the performance of his Duty, and should be afforded the right to have his attacker pay the full amount for his actions!! It is that simple... The Officer is owed that, as well as his Family and Friends. Even after 30, 40 or 50 years. He shall not have died in vain.

When anyone kills a policeman a part of this Great Country dies!! THE PERSON OR PERSONS WHO SHOT HIM WILL STAND UP IN COURT DEMANDING THEIR RIGHTS. WHILE THE OFFICERS FAMILY LOSES HUSBAND, FATHER, AND SPENDS MANY LONELY NIGHTS WITH OUT HIM !! JUSTICE MUST BE DONE!!!!!

As an active police officer from 1960 to 2004, with the New york City Police Department, and then the Nassau County Department for fortytwo years, where I retired as a Seargeant; I feel that anyone who takes the life of an active Law Enforcement Officer should receive the Death Penality, or at least remain in prision for the rest of their lives, without parole.

I will never forget the early 70s in NYPD. The BLA declared war on us and manage to kill many. It was a direct attack on any Black Officer paired with a white Officer on patrol. NO PAROLE FOR THESE CRIMINALS WHICH HAVE BEEN SENT TO THE ELECTRIC CHAIR THEREBY AVOIDING THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY FUTURE PAROLES.

Retired Motor Officer: Dennis Oliveira, New Bedford, MA Police Dept. Lost a good friend as a result of gunfire and came close to a second. When we put them in jail for taking a life they should stay there untill the deceased comes back to life!!!!!!!!

I remember this crime very well as all of Law Enforcement was under attack from many sides. We were warned of being attacked by individuals using a variety of weapons. These P.O.'s were young guys with so much to live for. It's over 40 years later and I realize even more now how tragic these murders are.

Cops aren't Black or White, they're Blue. When those Officers were killed in a cowardly ambush from behind, every man and woman in Blue was attacked. The killers didn't care what the race of the victims was, all they saw was a Blue Uniform, the symbolf of all that was right. The BLA stood for all that was wrong.
With due respect, I request that to make sure that the line between right and wrong is maintained, parole is denied the killer of my Brothers Piagentini and Jones.

Though I never knew him, he was part of my Law Enforcement family and I will mourn this deep loss the rest of my life. My heart aches with all the losses we have suffered, and continue to suffer, through the years. God is our only peace in such incidents & our only real comfort comes from Him. May His strength, comfort & peace continue to be the sustaining force in the lives of all who knew this beloved officer; and may it somehow help to know he is not forgotten.

Sir, you worked with my father in the NYPD. I grew up hearing stories about you and his other cop buddies. He always spoke fondly of you. He says you were a brave, and loyal man. I just began a presentation on the BLA for a history class. My father told me stories but i only now see how terrifying those days must have been. You are not forgotten! Your family will always be in my prayers.

~~~~~The Broken Chain~~~~~
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.~~In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.~~It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.~~You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.~~Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again.
