On today, the 110th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Chicago. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I just found this article and with everything going on in the world today it brought tears to my eyes knowing he died like this. Recently found out he is my 2nd great grandfather. Prayers to the family.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 99th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

You have not been forgotten. On September 18, 2005, Chicago PD will dedicate their new memorial to fallen officers where your name will be etched and your name read aloud for all to hear. Keep watch over those still on patrol.
