Your heroism and service is honored today, the 87th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Based on the 1920 U.S. Census, Officer Herman Jolly was 29 years old when he was killed. He had been "on the job" for less than five years, for the census in that year lists his occupation as a railroad switchman.
He is not forgotten.
