Scott,
It has been almost seven(7)years since you left us. I worked the night shift when you died, and I remember receiving the call that told us what had happened. There are times I feel like I've never really woke up, since that terrible day. Life, has gone on without you, but it has never been the same. Now, your brother Bill has pinned on the badge and strapped into harness. Sometimes it like looking at your ghost, but I then realize, its not. He's in the honor guard, just like you were. And his sense of pride and dedication to the unit is as strong as yours was. Scott,we miss your humor. We miss your dedication. We miss what you brought to the job, but most of all ... we miss you. Rest in peace 708, your tour is done. Goodbye, Scott.

Even though I didn't know you, my heart hurts for all those affected by your death. My husband has been gone as long as you have, it has only been a little over two years. It saddens me to see how young you were when your watch ended. It is always a tragedy where an officer looses his or her life. You served your department well. I know that you must have touched many lives in your short time here. May you always be remembered as the HERO that you are. May you rest in peace................John 15:13

Scott, It has been almost seven years since I had to say good bye to you. I remember that day so vividly. I was riding with you on day shift that day. We had just left your parents home, where we played with your daughter. Who would have known that a couple hours later, you would be gone. Amber is doing great and she looks just like you. Rest in peace and I know I will see you someday in the glorious abode. I miss you.

Each year this day comes, what a sad day to account for as I carried Scott my fellow officer and close friend down the yard to medical personnel then onto the helipad I stood by his side hearing the final words there is nothing we can do. Scott's memories and courage lives on thru his friends and fellow officers wihtin the Department.
