Reflections for Sergeant James Stanwood Noyes

I met Jim when I was assigned to Troop E as a trainee in 1978. While I was stationed there, he got his permanent assignment and I remember how happy he was. He was (and still is) an example of the best Law Enforcement has to offer. His passing was made more personal by the fact that not only had I worked with Jimmy, but I had been hired at the same time as his brother Steve and we went to the academy together. I feel very fortunate to have known and worked with someone of Jim's character, and I am sure that his family is proud that Nate is continuing that legacy. God Bless and Be Safe.

Though I never really had the chance to know you like my father did over the years, I want to thank you for the sacrifice you made for us. It was an honor attending the Police Academy with your son Nathan who exceeded all expectations and helped all of us who attended get through. God bless you and your family.

Rest in peace, you served us well. God bless his family and friends. It has been 6 years since he paid the ultimate price and he will never be forgotten.

I just added a New Hampshire State Police patch to my collection of East Coast state police patches, and will display it proudly remembering the sacrifice of Sergeant Noyes and other NHSP heroes.

I have been a police explorer for Belmont for 3 years now. Everyday I think about officers that have given so much to everyone they protect and serve. When I heard the story of Sgt. Noyes I was very saddened. I don't live to far from the scene of that horrible day. I keep Sgt. Noyes in my thoughts whenever I put my uniform on and think about what a "real" police officer is, then I think about Sgt. Noyes of the New Hampshire State Police. To me he is the perfect example of this. When I graduate college and become a police officer I will keep this hero in my thoughts.

MY prayers are with you and your family. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my brother.

My husband, Jim, was shot and killed seven years ago. I miss him. He will always be with me, in my heart and in my soul. Our 3 children have so much of him in them. I am grateful for that. They have the part of me in them that Jim would compliment me on, I am grateful for him telling me. The years I had with Jim will never be taken away. The moments of each day are treasured with my children, and I tell them, and I thank GOD.
Thank you to all the law enforcement officers that serve and protect us today.
Thank you to all the families and friends who support them.
Peace be with all of our police survivors. May you feel the presence of GOD's love.
Debbie
