Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Nephi Stannard Jensen
God Bless you and the other brave men who sacrificed and died so heroically on both of these days. Rest in peace always and know that your service and sacrifice will never, ever be forgotten by your law enforcement brethren.

I am the great great granddaughter of Nephi Stannard Jensen. Fallen Deputy Sheriff killed in the line of duty Nov. 21, 1913.
As a little girl growing up I remember my grandfather telling me the sad story. He was 13 and became the man of the family. I have visited the family plot.
I have passed the history to my children and grandchildren.... The family story will never die.

Your memory is honored and revered today, the 96th anniversay of your death. Thank you for your service. My
cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
This was a horrific incident; five officers killed and an entire agency decimated. I can only imagine the turmoil and grief this caused their families and communities.
Rest In Peace

It is still hard to believe how one man could be so cold and ruthless - five law enforcement officers killed.
May You All Rest - In Peace.
