It will have been 76 years ago soon, Great Uncle Campbell. You never knew me as I wasn't born until 1954, 15 years after your death. I am still very proud of you and happy to report that I was raised with full respect and deep appreciation for law enforcement. I keep your framed picture nearby and our family will never forget you. We love you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 73rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace

It is true that you gave the ultimate sacrafice way before my time. However, it is not true that you have been forgotten. I clicked on "Today in History" on this web-site and looked for a CPD Patch. I found your picture and remembered the face from where it is displayed. It is hanging in 3/17 Substation as well as CPD Headquarters for all to see. Your fellow officers and your department honor your sacrifice everyday. I wish I could have been a COP during your time. Rest In Peace.

It is the duty of those today to remember those who have served. Every time an officer wears a CPD uniform, your memory is honored. Always remembered, never forgotten.
