Deputy Sheriff Hutton,
On today, the 60th anniversary of your death. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the USAAF during WW II. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 50th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I did not know Deputy Hutton, but as I read this memorial and think of him, my eyes are filled with tears. First are tears of sadness that he died as he did, but my tears are also of joy to read his daughter's remembrance and to know that he indeed lives on through the love of his family. What a wonderful tribute to this brave and honorable officer!

Thank you for doing a job few want to do. I proudly tell your story to my daughter, but wish you were here to share it yourself. I love you and miss you every day. Goodnight, Daddy.
