Your heroism and service is honored today, the 84th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Laslater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I never got to know my grandfather. His EOW came when my mother was 9 years old, her sister 2 years younger. Their mother had to cope with raising 2 children by herself through the Depression. I was named in her honor.
